One thing I do when I’m feeling overwhelmed is try to take a step back from the situation and ask myself if I’ve got the essentials in my own life covered first.

Have you slept enough?
Have you eaten healthy food?
Have you exercised?

If I answer “no” to any of the questions, I acknowledge that my feeling unsettled might be coming from those things instead. I go back and take action to make my answer “yes” to each of the questions and then reevaluate the situation. Oftentimes, the icky feelings go away because I’ve done what I need to do to take care of myself.
